ARJUN PRASHAD

Arjun Prashad, raised in India and now living in California, has spent the past six decades surrounded by oil paints and large canvases. He began his career deeply influenced by abstraction and then found his way to portraits and landscapes. He plays with colour and light, with lines and emotions, to convey the range of human activity and human feeling. Certainly, there is no substitute for being in a noisy room of people, their emotions in their voices and their gestures; it has been Arjun's quest to find a way to share that emotional sensibility through his paint and his canvases.
